Air Force JROTC Basic Cadet Training

Before the first day of school, incoming freshmen in Air Force JROTC take part in Basic Cadet Training (BCT), a five-day program designed to help them build confidence, discipline, teamwork, and the skills they need to succeed as cadets. Throughout BCT, students learn drill movements, participate in physical training, become familiar with classroom expectations, and are introduced to the Air Force core values of Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do.
BCT is also an opportunity for our upperclassmen to step into leadership roles. Cadet leaders help train, mentor, and encourage the incoming freshmen while developing their own leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. The program allows experienced cadets to give back while helping prepare the next generation of cadets for success.
The video highlights the BCT experience and gives a glimpse into the training, teamwork, and leadership that take place throughout the week.
