Principal's Message

Week of March 25, 2019

Welcome back West Orange Warriors!

We're looking forward to seeing West Orange students and teachers back in class Monday morning! The first bell rings at 7:10 a.m. and in the classroom by 7:20 a.m

Seniors, we have many scholarship opportunities available!  Visit our Student Services tab above (on the West Orange HS Website) then scroll down to Scholarships to view all of these opportunities.

The West Orange High School PTSO is offering an opportunity to celebrate student perseverance and character by awarding the annual Ultimate Warrior Scholarship to deserving West Orange High School senior(s) to use for post-secondary education.  Click here to download and print the application or pick up a hard copy at the front desk or Students Services.  Please encourage seniors that meet these criteria to print, fill out, and return to the front office by Monday, March 25th

Third quarter report cards are scheduled to go home on March 29.

There is no Saturday School for the next two weeks.

Seniors, graduation announcement orders may be picked on March 27 and 28 from the cafeteria during lunches.  Make sure you show your ID.

Prom will be held Saturday, April 20th from 7 to 11 p.m.  Tickets will be sold to Seniors only on April 1 and 2.  On Wednesday, April 3, both Juniors and Seniors may purchase tickets. Ticket sales will wrap up on Friday, April 5th.  The cost is $75 per ticket.  Guest applications are available now in Student Services, room 540, and on our webpage.  Guest applications must be approved before guest tickets may be purchased.

Freshmen, Sophomores & Juniors, Colleges
and Universities will be visiting West Orange this semester! To attend, students must sign-up through their Naviance account on Launchpad. To see the list of colleges visiting, look on our website under the student services tab and click on the College and Career Center page.

Parents of Seniors, make sure you are completing your FAFSA.  If you pursue any post-secondary education opportunities, you will have to fill it out anyways—and you wouldn’t believe the amount of money that goes unclaimed each year that is available to just about every income bracket.  For more information, call or visit our Student Service Office.

Did you know that we have some talented photographers who can help your small business with publicity needs? Have you seen the Yearbooks and magazines our Journalism students produce?  The layouts are colorful, the writing is high quality, and the experiences these students receive will benefit them in their future colleges and careers.  Contact Kim Poor if you are interested in this excellent program.

Student technology help is available when you are at home by emailing
